day 2 at n’awlins!

chillin’ with my tom’s 🙂 at the balcony…

i can’t contain my joy 🙂 … along the banks of  mississippi river!

st. louis cathedral – the oldest cathedral in north america; founded as a catholic parish in 1720!

such a beautiful, special cathedral… i like that the pipe-in chant music they play inside… it gives you that extra feeling that you’re in a holy place…

The historic Jackson Square, originally known in the 18th Century as ‘Place d’Armes’ and later renamed in honor of the Battle of New Orleans hero, Andrew Jackson.  The locals said that the statue of Andrew wasn’t facing the church but instead facing the Pontalba apartments (the oldest apartment building in the U.S.) because his mistress lives in the one of the apartments. ha!

i love love love these local artworks!

i have never seen so many exquisite antique chandeliers! french quarter is full of antique shops!
