restaurant review: burger bar

i love, love… clif and chi both had sliders – 3 mini burgers: buffalo with caramelized onions, angus with bacon, natural beef with american cheese; comes with skinny fries… they both love it!

and because my tummy doesn’t like beef, i had the veggie burger – made of onions, lentis, peas, rice, pumpkin puree, potato and mozzarella cheese; and i ordered sweet potato fries… my review: it’s okay, something i won’t order again…

i am definitely going back not for the burger burgers but for the chocolate burger and cheesecake burger that we didn’t have room and time for when we were there

and how could you not like the view of union square? they are preparing the christmas tree for the tree lighting this friday!

 

food reviews: auntie em’s & gerry’s grill

auntie em’s: we bought pretty much what they sell to check what’s good; auntie em said their ensaymada is their specialty… my verdict? mediocre!  we tasted their polvorons and mango bars too and some bread with chicken filing – nothing is memorable… would i go back again? no 😦

gerry’s grill, daly city: food is bland! we just had molo soup, garlic rice and bangus ala pobre… food is not bad but it’s not good either; it’s missing something? probably taste? clif said henry’s and max’s philippines are much better! and i agree! good thing, our waitress is so sweet and seems happy with her job.  will i go back? nope!

and please, if you will put hot tea on your menu, at least get some gourmet tea bags! omg, lipton? are you freaking kidding me!?
